Buy an Apple iPhone 5S for just Rs 12,000?

New Delhi: Ahead of Apple iPhone’s 5SE launch later this month, the buzz is that the 5S model would attract a price cut up to50%.

KGI Securities’ analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has said in a research note that the company will slash the price of iPhone 5S by 50% once iPhone SE hits the market, according to a MacRumors report.

iPhone 5S, which costs $450 in the US, would be available for $225 in the next couple of months, if the report turns out to be a reality. However, there’s no confirmation on the dropping of prices in India.

iPhone 5S is currently available in Indian e-commerce websites for a starting price of Rs 21,499 for the 16GB model. Hence, in that scenario, the model would cost somewhere between Rs 12,000-13,000 to the users here.

Keeping the slashed price in mind, it looks to definitely be a good time for the Apple enthusiasts to try their hands on the iPhone 5s which still is quite popular in the country.
